Rocky Mountain High Adventure Base is proud to offer some of the most exciting outdoor adventure opportunities to Scouts who attend. Those participating at RMHAB will be pushed to their limits and encouraged to reach higher and further than they ever have before.

2023 Activities & Adventures

Bobcat Trek

Novice
Max: 14 participants*

For our novice groups ready for adventure! Check-in at RMHAB and get all the info you need for the week. Day 2, gear up as we head out on a Rocky Mountain trail, which will be approximately a 4 mile out and back trail. Day 3, get back to RMHAB to test your throwing-tomahawks skills and brand your items at our branding station. Hit the intense waters of the Arkansas River, which includes Class III rapids and lunch. Day 5 and 6, test your strength and wits climbing and rappelling on Rocky Mountain granite at RMHAB and in the surrounding area at heights from 30-120ft.

Wolverine Trek

Intermediate
Max: 14 participants*

Up the anty by joining our Wolverine Trek! Check-in at RMHAB and get all the info you need for the week. Day 2 and 3, test your strength and wits climbing and rappelling on Rocky Mountain granite at RMHAB and in the surrounding area at heights from 30-120ft. Day 4, hit the intense waters in Bighorn Sheep Canyon of the Arkansas River with Echo Canyon River Expeditions, which includes Class III rapids and lunch along the river. Day 5 and 6, gear up as we head out on a Rocky Mountain trail, which will be a 17-mile loop trail with an elevation gain of 5,800ft.

Eagle Trek

Intermediate
Max: 14 participants*

A fisherman’s dream is the Eagle Trek! Check-in at RMHAB and get all the info you need for the week. Day 2, learn the skills you need to fish Wilbur Ladd Lake at RMHAB with a day hike to Wachob Overlook to see the majestic views over Lake Isabel. Day 3, test your throwing tomahawks skills and brand your items at our branding station. Then head to Lake Isabel to test your fishing skills, kayak, Stand-Up Paddleboard and enjoy a Surf N’ Turf dinner to finish off the day. Day 4, hit the intense waters of the Arkansas River, which includes Class III rapids and lunch. Day 5 and 6, gear up as we head out on a trail that will have an option to summit a peak. Colorado Fishing License is REQUIRED for all adults & youth 14+ years of age.

G.O.A.T. Trek

Advanced
Max: 14 participants*

Not for the faint of heart is our G.O.A.T. Trek! Check-in at RMHAB and get all the info you need for the week. Day 2, drive to outdoor adventure hotspot, Canon City, to enjoy a day of flying through air while ziplining at speeds of 60mph with a zipline tour with a local company. Day 3, get back on the ground and zoom along the trails on a mountain bike. Days 4, 5 and 6 will test your limits as you backpack to the top of a 12,000+ peak.

*Federal law and permits restricts the number of people that can travel in a group while in National Forests. The limit in our area is 14 travelers, not including a guide.

If your group is larger than 14, you will be required to sign up for multiple treks. If you have additional questions about registering groups larger than 14, please contact us.
